About

Compendium of Evaluated Neutron Resonance Parameters, Integrals, and Thermal Values Synopsis

The proposed two-volume set will present the latest compilation of neutron resonance parameters of stable and long-lived isotopes, as well as their associated covariance information and integral quantities, in electronic format and in tables ready to be automatically read. The origin of the data will be traceable back to the original publications or the methods of productions. It will answer user's today and tomorrow needs, as well as the requirements for better computer accessibility, operability and data traceability. It will cover light elements (from hydrogen), and also application-relevant short-lived isotopes, relevant for fission energy and astrophysics. The first part of each volume (~100 pages) will describe the quantities (resonance parameters, thermal cross sections, capture integrals, and Maxwellian-averaged cross sections) and methods of compilations as well as the source of data (experimental, calculated, or both). The second part will present for each considered isotope a table of important parameters, widths, uncertainties and references. The two volumes will cover ~600 isotopes in total, split by atomic number Z, with the first covering Z=1-50, and the second covering Z=51-100. Links will be made to extended machine-readable tables for use in computations/simulations, for circa 2800 target isotopes.
