Faerie Lord Synopsis
Two years after leaving the Faerie Realm, Henry Atherton finds a middle-aged Pyrgus and his new wife, Nymph, in Mr Fogarty's garden. They explain that a terrible plague has taken hold of the Faerie Realm, causing faeries to age so rapidly that Pyrgus had to flee in order to save himself. Determined to help his friends, Henry returns to the Realm, hoping to find a cure and perhaps win his way back into the heart of Queen Holly Blue. But the plague isn't what it seems, and when the treacherous villains of the Faerie Realm are involved, anything is possible.

About Herbie Brennan
Herbie Brennan is the author of Faerie Lord, published by Bloomsbury in February 2008, the fourth book in the New York Times bestselling Faerie Wars series. With combined sales now in excess of 7.5 million, Herbie is a professional writer whose work has appeared in more than fifty countries, including Britain, the United States, Japan, Belgium, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, France, Spain, Italy, Australia, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Israel, Turkey and various Latin American countries. He is the author of, among others, Fairy Nuff and Frankenstella and the Video Shop Monster.
Brennan became interested in psychology as a child and was studying books on the subject virtually from the time he was able to read. He found himself pursuing several unorthodox lines of research, including hypnosis, and actually hypnotised his first subject — a school friend - at the age of nine!
He began a journalistic career at eighteen and at twenty-four became the youngest newspaper editor in his native Ireland. His early career background included magazine work, hypnotherapy, counselling, advertising and marketing.
His first book on out-of-body experience, Astral Doorways, became a specialist bestseller and went on to become a classic in its field.
By his mid twenties, Brennan had published his first novel, an historical romance brought out by Doubleday in New York. At age thirty, he made the decision to devote most of his time to full-length works of fact and fiction and since then has published more than ninety books, many of them international best sellers.
