Karl Barth is the foremost theologian of the twentieth century, some would say since Thomas Aquinas. Our understanding of Jesus- our Christology- is crucial to Christian faith. It is the touchstone by which everything else stands or falls, and it is at the centre of the present-day theological debate. In this study, Professor Thompson brings the two together. He seeks to understand Barth on Christ. In his words, 'to let Barth be heard on a central (indeed the central) theme of his theology'.
