North London Synopsis

It is often said that London is a string of villages that have grown together. This sense of village is found even on a walk that begins at London Bridge and incorporates the old dockland Wapping village that retains many unique characteristics. Hampstead is in the Borough of Camden, which includes part of Covent Garden, but Hampstead village is still a reality, nestling alongside the vast Hampstead Heath. Nearby Highgate, being isolated on a hill, has an even greater village feel as it looks down on the rest of London. There is plenty to discover and inspire within London and these walks enjoyed at different times will reveal varying seasons in all their splendour and allow for contrasting experiences.
