This is a book of interconnecting stories. Different characters give their story and point of view about the possible destruction of Whitethorn Woods and the well of St Ann that sits in the middle of the woods, due to proposals for a new bypass to head straight through. This is like reading a book of short stories but still has all the charm and with of a Binchy novel.
