Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. It commences only with the battle of Neville's Cross but, as it is manifestly of higher date and authority than the Cosin ms., the latter is after p. 23 rejected as the basis of our text, and is afterwards only used for subsidiary purposes: the R011, from the page referred to, to the end of the book, is our chief authority.
