October 2014 Guest Editor Cecelia Ahern on The Time Traveler's Wife...
This is one of my all time favourite novels, about a woman who’s husband has a rare disorder which means that his periodic clock keeps resetting itself, forcing him to jump back and forth through time against his will. The beauty of this story is that he meets her when she’s a child, but as adults she meets him before he even knows her. It’s beautifully written and incredibly clever and I cried my eyes out at the end.
The Lovereading view...
A huge book in every way. The protagonists meet each other at different times throughout their lives and you do have to accept the unusual concept but accept it you will, for it is beautifully structured. It’s a love story, pure and simple, but probably the most unusual love story you will ever read. Once finished, it will be with you for days.

Audrey Niffenegger on hearing that her novel The Time Traveler’s Wife is Lovereading's Book of the Decade:
"Thank you to everyone who read the book, and to all who voted. I am flabbergasted; I tend to think of The Time Traveler's Wife as my odd little book that somehow found its readers. It's amazing to me how many readers it has found, and how intensely they care for the book."
