Jeffery Deaver Press Reviews
'A clever, demanding stand-alone ... As the ingenious plot folds back on itself, the reader has to reevaluate and reinterpret the constantly shifting facts in the case. The finished picture finally emerges with a shock of recognition. This is brilliant craftsmanship in a vastly entertaining package.' -- Publishers Weekly
Praise for master thriller writer Deaver:
'Devious, diabolical and devilish'
New York Times
'The most creative, skilled and intriguing thriller writer in the world' -- Daily Telegraph
'The pace is terrific, the suspense inexorable, and there is an excellent climax ... If you want thrills, Deaver is your man.' -- Guardian
'Jeffery Deaver is grand master of the ticking-clock thriller.' -- Kathy Reichs
'Deaver writes crime fiction - thrillers you want to race through - and he's bloody good -- The Big Issue Sometimes the purest escapism can only be found in a knuckle-bleaching thriller that messes with your blood pressure. This is a job for Jeffery Deaver' -- Saga Magazine
'It's everything we've come to expect from a man at the top of his game ... a great read -- Sun Deaver dispenses expository bits and cliffhangers with a mastery that'll make you smile even more broadly after you realize how thoroughly you've been hoodwinked. Perhaps the cleverest of all Deaver's exceptionally clever thrillers. If you've ever wished you could take the film Memento to the beach, here's your chance.' -- Kirkus Reviews
