Above all, this book makes me sad as it is the last in the brilliant ‘Dexter’ series. Seldom, if ever, has the world seen a character like him. He lives on in the TV series but the two are rather different so do read the books too. The first, Darkly Dreaming Dexter, blew me away at the time. The style is easy and the narrator’s voice so charming. I loved it. Dexter was as witty then as he is now, as readable, as enjoyable. Sadly his exit is not the best in the series, but I’m really going to miss him. Here’s to Lindsay’s next which I await eagerly.
