LoveReading Says
A clever scenario. A girl wishing to commit suicide ‘hires’ a web-double so her family and friends will believe she still lives. She then tells them she’s going abroad to start a new life and won’t be seeing anyone. Her double, Leila, continues the lie. Leila is our narrator. She is extremely thorough with her research and is quite happy impersonating her client until an old flame appears on the scene. Ill-prepared for an online attraction, Leila becomes obsessed with the man and things get both complicated and very interesting. The twist is lovely. A most unusual, intense read.
Shortlisted for the Guardian First Book Award 2013.

Praise for Lottie Moggach:
'A brave, poignant and humane novel about society's taboos -- and the cost of breaking them. Lottie Moggach has put her finger to the pulse of our times.'
Liz Jensen, author of The Rapture
'Witty, suspenseful, satirical and bold. A Patricia Highsmith for the Facebook age.'
Polly Samson, author of Perfect Lives
'Lottie Moggach's very smart Kiss Me First is a moving coming of age story hidden within a harrowing mystery... The story's suspense will keep you reading, but it's Leila's surprisingly emotional journey toward selfhood that will stick with you long after you've finished this wonderful first novel.'
