Of all the Simon’s Cat books, this has to be my favourite, enchanting cartoons depicting the chaos that a tiny kitten can create in their new home. It might be exaggerated, but only slightly.... who hasn’t had the teabags shredded, the bin explored, heart-stopping hunts when everything’s gone too quiet, the older cats considering leaving home for somewhere more peaceful and the owner, nerves shredded, home in a similar state, wondering why did they do it.

The Lovereading view...
After the runaway success of the orignial book, Simon Tofield returned last year with the further adventures of his felineBeyond the Fence so this is the third. Perfect stocking filler and loo book.
Like all great cartoon creations, from Peanuts to Asterix, from Garfield to Tintin, Simon's Cat has continued to evolve by introducing new characters and developing new storylines. After the runaway success of the orignial book, Simon Tofield returned last year with the further adventures of his feline 'beyond the fence.' Now we welcome a cuddly new addition to the family in the form of Simon's Kitten. It's an adorable new chapter which is sure to delight Simon's millions of fans.
What sets Tofield's cartoons apart are the truly comic moments of pure cat-ness: the merciless patting at a half-dead fly, the single minded determination, that weird little dance thing that segues seamlessly into a look of utter boredom.' - Irish Times
