Michelle Gayle, pop star, ex-WAG and TV celebrity has created a stylish and sassy read, blending celebrity glamour with characters who are all memorable, genuine and utterly engaging from the very first page and all characters with whom readers can relate. Michelle has delivered the ultimate novel that real girls and women everywhere will want to read.
This is the diary of Remy Louise Bennet, age 17-1/2. Remy Louise Bennet has one goal in life - to be a WAG. And as every true wannabe WAG knows, there are rules. One: pretend you don't know he's a footballer. Two: Don't get drunk (or he won't trust you while he's off on pre-season tour). Three: Never dispute a thing his mum says (they worship their mums). When Remy starts dating Netherfield Park Rangers' Robbie Wilkins (not Premiership, but good for starters), it seems like all her dreams have come true. Or have they? Remy soon realizes that being a WAG isn't all it's cracked up to be, that Robbie's balls aren't quite so golden...and that maybe there are smarter dreams to pursue. Michelle has already participated in workshops with The Reading Agency up and down the country, promoting literacy among teenage girls and encouraging them to aspire beyond the WAG myth. Michelle is an ex-EastEnders star, chart-topping pop diva and popular TV celebrity.
Michelle Gayle is best known for her TV appearances, which began in the 1980s with children’s drama Grange Hill, followed by EastEnders, before Michelle moved over to a glittering pop career that saw her achieve six top 20 hits and sell a million records, most successfully 1994 single “Sweetness”. Michelle has since appeared on TV shows such as Reborn in the USA, Doctors, Holby City and The Games, and she starred opposite Ed Stoppard in 2006 film Joy Division. In recent years Michelle has presented on Loose Women and also taken part in reality TV shows Come Dine with Me and Dancing On Wheels.
Michelle now lives with her husband and two sons in west London; this is her third novel, sequel to Don’t Lie to Me, Robbie Wilkins (previously Pride and Premiership) and Say You Love Me, Stevie C.
