"This thoroughly modern Christmas romance and friendship tale provides plenty of smiles and festive warmth as it whisks its way through the holiday season."
A truly heartwarming relationship tale awaits, amusing, compassionate, and appropriately full of Christmas joy, friendship, decorations and delicious food. IT manager Maggie determines to look after her team when they aren’t invited to the work Christmas party, in turn they arrange to look after her when she reveals she is going to be alone over the holiday. I love a good festive romance, it’s the sparkle of the holiday season mixing with the delight of a budding relationship. Here the story centres around the friendship between the four main characters, Maggie and her IT team of three, Leo, Jasper, and Frank. Author Kristen Bailey creates a a tale that feels relatable and touchable. The characters come alive on the page, and with Maggie narrating, I felt as though I sitting alongside her as she gained more of an insight into her colleagues. The burgeoning friendships, and in one case relationship, are lovely to witness. The last minute spanner in the works is placed with care, and I felt empathy for the decisions that are made, keeping my fingers firmly crossed as the ending came in sight. We Three Kings is a wonderfully readable, satisfying tale with just the right touch of enticing romance wrapped within the magic of Christmas.
