Liyah’s wit will leave you with a smirk for most of the story. Daniel’s compassion towards Liyah’s experiences are swoon worthy and makes you shout even louder at the page for Liyah to truly see him and understand her own feelings.
When Liyah and Daniel are put together to work on a new exhibition for Liyah’s work, I was kicking my feet at the forced proximity that working on such a big project would bring, and Rachel Runya Katz didn’t disappoint. Add to that the only one bed trope, grumpy / sunshine vibes and slow burn romance and this book gets a full house in romance fiction bingo for me. With its sparkling and vibrant cast of characters, an adorable cat cameo, tenderness, compassion and a friendship group I would love to join for happy hour; this diverse friends to enemies to lovers story is a cracking debut and one I’ll definitely be recommending.
