LoveReading Says
This is a relationship tale with real heart, it gathers you in with a warm embrace and leaves you feeling as though you’ve made forever-friends. While the internet thinks Franny’s subway clothing mishap and her subsequent rescue by Hayes is the ultimate meet-cute, the couple themselves really aren’t so sure. Author Kate Spencer breathes vibrant life into the will-they won’t-they romance and I’m so here for it. While social media hovers in the background, it isn’t the focus, instead it’s all about the characters, and of course, New York. The chapters tip back and forth between the two leads ensuring that each shares the limelight and gives them chance to shine. Their friends and family pack the gaps around them, allowing further access and adding an extra zest to proceedings. New York is an absolute delight, I really did feel as though I was being given my own special guided tour. If you’ve not been, the New York that sweeps through the chapters here, throws its arms open and bids you welcome. This novel is so very lovely, I’ve chosen it as one of my Liz Picks of the Month. In A New York Minute feels refreshingly new while also giving a fabulous nod to the beloved romcoms of yesteryear, it’s completely gorgeous and comes as highly recommended by me.

In A New York Minute Synopsis
Their love story has gone viral. But it hasn’t even begun . . .
Franny Doyle is having the worst day. She’s been sacked, the subway doors ripped her favorite dress to ruins, and now she’s flashed her unmentionables to half of lower Manhattan. On the plus side, a dashing stranger came to her rescue with his (Gucci!) suit jacket. On the down side, he can’t get away from her fast enough.
Worse yet? Someone posted their (entirely not) meet-cute online. Suddenly Franny and her rescuer, Hayes Montgomery, are the newest social media sensation, and all of New York is shipping #SubwayQTs.
Only Franny and Hayes couldn’t be a more disastrous match. She’s talkative, and creative. He’s serious, shy, and all about numbers. Yet somehow, Hayes and Franny keep running into each other. It seems fate isn't done with the subway sweethearts just yet . . .
Kate Spencer’s In a New York Minute is a fresh, modern take on romantic comedy for fans of The Flatshare, Our Stop and One Day in December.
