Andre Camilleri’s series about Inspector Montalbano has been adapted for television in Italy, how brilliant it would be if they could do that for British TV, allowing us to see the beautiful Sicilian scenery for ourselves, the gorgeous food that is described to tempt our taste buds and to bring to life a funny, fascinating and slightly grumpy leading detective. Lets hope he keeps going for a long while yet.
