This is one of the most intensely moving and original novels I’ve read in a while. The girls of the title are conjoined twins, at the head, so although they’ve never been able to look at each other eye to eye, they have always done everything together. The author weaves a heart-rending and yet heart-warming tale of incredible love and devotion, which is by turns funny, enchanting and tender. The quality of the writing is superb, the storyline so unusual yet utterly compelling you’ll need to shut yourself away from the hubbub of life to enjoy it at its best. A real treat is instore. If you enjoy this one, then why not try Lori’s debut novel Rush Home Road, published 3 or 4 years ago – quite different but a stunning and eloquent debut
