A Double Debut Delight
This June we have two stunning debut novels not to be missed.
First up our Mega Debut - When God Was a Rabbit by Sarah Winman, has been described as ‘a little piece of heaven’, ‘enchanting’ and ‘completely incredible’.
High praise indeed – but rest assured we wholeheartedly agree and urge you to make space for this story about childhood and growing up, the loss of innocence, eccentricity, familial ties, love and life.
And don’t miss our other Debut A Book for All and None by Clare Morgan is haunting and thought provoking. Try the free Opening Extracts today…
Making History - Guest Editor Suzannah Dunn
Our fabulous Guest Editor this month is the prolific Fiction and Historical Fiction writer Suzannah Dunn. Suzannah lives in Shropshire, where she researches and writes her acclaimed novels about the Tudors. Her latest title, The Confession of Katherine Howard, follows the life and loves of a young Katherine Howard from her arrival, as a girl of twelve, into the Duchess of Norfolk’s household, to the intrigues and dangers of life in the court of Henry VIII.
It is a brilliantly crafted, rich and compelling read. We are delighted that Suzannah has agreed to share with us some of her favourite authors who have inspired and influenced her over the years – reason enough to visit the site this month, we reckon!
