Help for Reading Groups

  For all of you in reading groups and needing guidance to select your next group read, look no further than our reading group category. Why not print off a few opening extracts to read before you decide? This month though, our favourite is Bring Down the Moon by Eva Le Bon from the small publisher Chipmunkapublishing. Fairy tales for the 21st Century

  A surprise hit last year was the witty, original and dark reworking of the ‘fairy story’ from Catherynne M. Valente called The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making. Well the girl in question, September, is back for a second adventure The Girl Who Fell Beneath Fairyland and Led the Revels There. Read the book before you see the film

T. S. Eliot Prize for Poetry 2012

Finally, news for Poetry lovers as the T. S. Eliot Prize for Poetry 2012 has recently been announced. It went to Stag's Leap by Sharon Olds.
