LGBT+ History Month runs throughout February each year. It is a chance for everyone to reflect and shine a light on our shared history and promote equality and diversity within our communities and beyond, now and in the future. LGBT+ History Month is an opportunity to reflect on the history of gay rights within the civil rights movement, as well as highlight the freedoms that have been won and the work still left to do to promote equality and inclusion within society.

We shine a light on diverse reads all year round here at LoveReading and read widely to make sure that we offer intersectional representation in our book recommendations. For even more reading inspiration for books that celebrate a wide range of inclusive narratives, make sure you take a look at our ‘Sharing Diverse Voices’ genre.

The collection of books below feature a variety of diverse characters. The titles we included show us that love comes in all forms and our literary worlds can be as wonderfully varied as the one we live in.
