Prof. Xinjun Chen is the Dean of the College of Marine Sciences at the Shanghai Ocean University. He is also director of the National Ocean Fisheries Engineering and Technology Research Center, director of the Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education for the Sustainable Development of Ocean Fisheries Resources, director of the key laboratory of ocean fisheries development of the Ministry of Agriculture, director of the China Ocean Fisheries Data Center, and head of the squid fishing technology group of the China Ocean Fisheries Association. He serves as a member of the Fisheries Group of the Sixth and Seventh Subject Review Group of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, and Associate Editor of Canadian Journal of Fishery and Aquatic Sciences, and the editorial board of Aquaculture and Fishery.
