For over three decades, he has been at the centre of the city ' s post-modern transformation, bringing international music events and festivals to its streets as co-founder of Sankeys and The Warehouse Project. In 2018, he was appointed Night-Time Economy Advisor for Greater Manchester by Andy Burnham. He lives in south Manchester with his wife. Tales from the Dancefloor is his first book.
