Rogerio Atem de Carvalho is a Bachelor in Informatics, Master and Doctor in Production Engineering, and MBA in Innovation Management. He is a Professor of Informatics at the Instituto Federal Fluminense (Brazil), Director of Technological Innovation, and Consultant at TecCampos Incubator. He holds a National Council for Science and Technology (CNPq) fellowship in ICT Technological Development. He is a Mentor in the National Institute of Intellectual Property (INPI) Mentorship Program. He was awarded by IFIP/Unesco in 2006 with the Academic Leadership Award and in 2011 with the Outstanding Service Award for his contributions to Informatics globally. His management ahead of the Innovation Hub was recognized by Unevoc/Unesco as a Promising Practice in 2019, and by ECLAC/UN as a case of the Big Push for Sustainability  in 2020 and 2021.
