Richard Crampton is a former Professor of East European History and currently Emeritus Fellow of St Edmund Hall, Oxford. An authority on the history of Eastern Europe, his works include Bulgaria for The Oxford History of Modern Europe series (2007), A Concise History of Bulgaria (2005), Eastern Europe in the Twentieth Century and After, The Balkans and the Second World War (2002), and Atlas of Eastern Europe in the Twentieth Century (with Ben Crampton). Professor Alan Sharp is Provost of the Coleraine Campus at the University of Ulster. He joined the History Department at Ulster in 1971 and has been successively Professor of International Studies, a post in which he helped to set up degrees in International Studies and, later, International Politics and Head of the School of History and International Affairs. His major publications include The Versailles Settlement: Peacemaking in Paris, 1919 (1991) amongst others.
