As a media historian and active researcher, she has written extensively about the history of amateur media and the history of documentary filmmaking. Since 2012, she has served as the chief editor for the Dutch Journal for Media History. Andreas Fickers is Professor of Contemporary and Digital History at Luxembourg University, Luxembourg.
