Paul Dolan is Professor of Behavioural Science at the London School of Economics and Political Science. The first in his family to go to university, Paul graduated from Swansea University with a degree in economics and gained a doctorate from the University of York focussing on issues in the valuation of health outcomes. He has subsequently published over 100 peer reviewed articles, two bestselling books - HAPPINESS BY DESIGN and HAPPY EVER AFTER - and has appeared on numerous media outlets.

Paul has worked as the Chief Academic Advisor on Economic Appraisal for the UK Government's Economic Service, is a member of National Academy of Sciences Panel on Wellbeing and of the Measuring National Wellbeing Advisory Forum, a visiting scholar at Imperial College London and Princeton University and is an associate of the Institute for Government.
