PAUL CHAROSH is a lecturer in the Sociology Department of Brooklyn College. He also writes on music in the United States during the 19th and early 20th centuries. Charosh is coeditor with Robert Fremont of an anthology of sheet music, Song Hits of the Turn of the Century, and has written articles and reviews for over 30 years.
