Books By Norman E. Tutorow - Author

Dr. Norman E. Tutorow received his Ph.D. in American political and military history from Stanford University and holds degrees in history, philosophy, Spanish, and German. He taught at various colleges and universities and served as Chief of the Archives Branch of the Los Angeles Federal Records Center. A guest lecturer at historical societies and university classes, he is a member of the World Association of International Studies and of several historical societies. Dr. Tutorow was a Visiting Fellow at Hoover Institution on War, Revolution and Peace at Stanford University from 19962001 and is now a researcher at the Hoover Institution. His major works include California: An Illustrated History; Leland Stanford: Man of Many Careers; and Texas Annexation and the Mexican War. His wife Evelyn (Evie) assists him in his research. They live in La Honda, California, eighteen miles south of Stanford University.
