Nicola Melloni is a doctoral student at St. Hugh's College Oxford and the Centre for International Development - Queen Elizabeth House of the University of Oxford. He obtained his first degree in Political Science and an MA in International Relations at the University of Bologna, as well as an MPhil in Russian and East European Studies at Oxford. In 1999, he was a visiting student at Moscow State University, and, in 2002, a visiting lecturer at the University of Tashkent. Melloni is also a commentator on Russian politics for the Italian magazine Carta. The foreword author: Eiji Furukawa is Moscow correspondent for the Japanese newspaper Nikkei and the co-author of several books on international affairs.
