MARK NORFOLK Mark studied Speech & Drama at Middlesex Polytechnic and Independent Film Production and Avant-garde Film Studies at the University of Wales, Cardiff. His recent work includes a stage adaptation of the UK's first all black cast of Shakespeare's Hamlet which toured nationally for Black Theatre Live and a contemporary Albanian language adaptation of Hamlet staged in Kosovo that he also directed. Mark is also an award-winning filmmaker producing films that screen internationally, and has recently finished shooting Un, Ati (I, Father) in Gjilan, Kosovo. He has worked as a journalist and researcher in television production and as a writer in residence in a high security prison where he published many books of creative writing. He is currently an associate lecturer in screenwriting at Birkbeck University of London.
