Luigi Calabrese holds a Master?s degree in Materials Engineering (2008) and a PhD in Chemical and Materials Engineering (2012), both from the University of Messina. Currently he is Associate Professor in Material Science and technology area at the Department of Engineering of the University of Messina. His major research interests are in the field of Materials Science and Technology, focusing on development of innovative materials for thermal energy storage and conversion. Currently he is the author or co-author of more than 150 articles in indexed journal, 8 books/books chapter and 7 patents. Emanuela Mastronardo received her Ph.D. in Materials Chemistry and Engineering in 2016 at the University of Messina and she is currently a Researcher at the Engineering Department of the University of Messina (Italy) specialized in materials development for thermochemical heat storage technologies.
