John Harte has written 21 books of modern social history about what caused us to be where we are today; several still scheduled for future publication. Eight titles are about Winston Churchill, with references attributing over 3,000 sources, including other historians or historical documents. Only one other historian has written as many books about Winston Churchill. That was his official biographer, the greatly esteemed Sir Martin Gilbert, who had access to all of Churchill's correspondence and official documents. Since John studied all of Gilbert's books, his narratives also benefit from the products of Sir Martin Gilbert's scholarship.
The author was born in London, England and educated at St. Paul's School, and Carleton University in Ottawa where he studied psychology. His home is now in Canada, where he writes books about the movers and shapers of history who gave meaning and purpose to our lives.
