John Fennelly was born in London but currently lives in Manchester, where he completed an MA in Creativ eWriting at MMU's Writing School. He is a poet, teacherand workshop facilitator. In 2015 he began the popular'Verse Box' open mic series in Manchester and in 2016 helped to co-founded 'Black Cat Poets'. John has regularly performed at events in London, Manchester and elsewhere in the North, such as the Ilkley Literature Festival. Currently he co-hosts as House Poet for the series of readings 'Carol Ann Duffy and Friends' at the Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester.
