Jeff Yoshimi is an Associate Professor and founding faculty member in the department of Cognitive and Information Sciences at UC Merced. His research areas include phenomenology, philosophy of cognitive science, and visualization of complex processes. He is the author of Husserlian Phenomenology: A Unifying Interpretation (Springer, 2016). He has done interdisciplinary work connecting phenomenology with numerous other disciplines, including cognitive science, dynamical systems theory, education, and Asian American Studies. He is the creator of an online resource for Husserl scholarship. Philip Walsh is a technology researcher at Gartner. He received his PhD in philosophy from the University of California, Irvine.
