JEFF MOORE spent most of his youth in the pine forests of northeastern California and the redwoods along the Pacific Coast, where his lifelong passion for trains developed into an intense interest in the history of those railroads associated with the timber industry, especially in northeastern California and eastern Oregon. Jeff currently lives with his family near Elko, Nevada, where he continues his research into these operations. As of this writing, Jeff has authored five books and numerous articles and has several other projects pending.
