Hideaki Ishii received his M.Eng. degree in applied systems science from Kyoto University in 1998, and his Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Toronto in 2002. He was a Postdoctoral Research Associate with the Coordinated Science Laboratory at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, from 2001 to 2004, and a Research Associate with the Department of Information Physics and Computing of the University of Tokyo from 2004 to 2007. Since 2007, he has been the Tokyo Institute of Technology, where he is currently a a Professor in the Department of Computer Science. He held visiting positions at the IEIIT CNR, Politecnico di Torino, the University of Stuttgart, the Technical University of Berlin, and the City University of Hong Kong.His research interests are in networked control systems, multi-agent systems, hybrid systems, cyber security of power systems, and probabilistic algorithms.
