Gisele Arruda is a professor and an interdisciplinary polar researcher, program designer, and educator in Arctic Governance, Sustainable Energy Systems, Climate Change Diplomacy, Change Management, Net Zero Transition (socio-environmental impacts, natural resources, socio-technical systems, local communities), Climate Change Risk, Environment and Society, Climate Finance, Cryosphere, and trans-boundary pollution. She studied two PhDs, and she is a professor in Circumpolar Studies. She is a member of the UArctic, the US Arctic Committee, country director of the International Higher Education Teaching and Learning Association, New York, United States, and Scientific member of IARPC. She belongs to multidisciplinary research groups in Canada, the United States, Iceland, Norway, and Greenland, researching Arctic Sustainable Energy systems, Climate Change, Bioeconomy, Blue Economy, Smart Specialisation, Societal Studies, Corporate Social Responsibility, and multicultural aspects of Higher Education.
