Books By Frank Meier, Philippe Collin - Author
Frank Meier fled Prohibition to Paris after building his reputation as a mixologist in New York. Recruited by the Ritz in 1921, he tended bar there from the Roaring Twenties through the Depression and World War II until passing in 1947. Along the way, he became a celebrated icon of Paris nightlife, living by the motto "to be a barman is to be a chemist and a psychologist." Philippe Collin is a journalist, historian, and the author of France Inter's successful historical podcasts. His first novel, Le barman du Ritz, based on the life of Frank Meier, was recently published in French.
