Fabian Alfie is a Professor of Italian at the University of Arizona. He received his PhD in Italian from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, in 1995. His research specialization is on the literature of the Middle Ages and Renaissance, and he has published extensively on Dante, Boccaccio, and Petrarch, as well as on the comic / satiric authors of the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries.
