He worked as Field Engineer in Angel Medical Systems in Shrewsbury, New Jersey; Assistant Professor in FAAP, São Paulo; and Project Intern in Baylor College of Medicine, Houston. He has filed the patent "Implantable equipment for temporary life support of patients waiting for heart transplantation". In addition, he had published 3 books, 14 chapters and 44 papers in scientific journals with 427 citations.
