E. V. Niemeyer, Jr. worked with the United States Information Agency in several countries and has served as the director of the Instituto Chileno-Norteamericano de Cultura in Santiago, Chile. He has taught at Texas A&I College (now Texas A&M University-Kingsville) and at the University of Puerto Rico.
