Books By Claude Amsler - Author
Claude Amsler studied experimental physics at ETH-Zürich and obtained his PhD in 1975 with the first particle physics experiment performed at the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI), a measurement of pion scattering on polarized protons. He then joined Queen Mary College (London) as a Research Associate and was delegated to TRIUMF in Vancouver to work on nucleon-nucleon scattering experiments. In 1978 he moved to Brookhaven National Laboratory as a Research Assistant Professor from the University of New Mexico to work on antiproton experiments. In 1979 he obtained a CERN Fellowship. After a brief leave at the University of Munich he joined in 1982 the Physik-Institut of the University of Zürich, where he became Full Professor in 1999.
Claude Amsler contributed to several projects at CERN such as meson spectroscopy in low energy proton-antiproton annihilation - the ASTERIX and CRYSTAL BARREL experiments (which led to the discovery of several new light mesons), inthe first production of cold an
