Arun K. Somani is currently Anson Marston Distinguished Professor and Jerry R. Junkins Endowed Chair Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Iowa State University. His research interests include fault-tolerant computing, computer interconnection networks, WDM-based optical networking, and reconfigurable and parallel computer system architecture. He architected, designed, and implemented the 46-node multi-computer cluster-based system, Proteus. He has served as IEEE Distinguished Visitor, IEEE Distinguished Tutorial Speaker, and has delivered several keynotes. He was elected as a Fellow of IEEE for his contributions to the “theory and applications of computer networks.” He was made a Distinguished Scientist Member of ACM in 2006. Ankit Mundra is an Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) in the Department of Information Technology, School of Computer Science and IT, Manipal University Jaipur.
