Akinobu Yamaguchi is Associate Professor, Laboratory of Advanced Science and Technology for Industry, University of Hyogo, Japan. His research focuses on the fabrication of of artificial materials with modulated and/or periodic magnetic structure composed of nanoscale magnets, which are intentionally added topologic designs. Atsufumi Hirohata is a received his PhD from the University of Cambridge in 2001, followed by post-doctoral research experience at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Tohoku University and Riken. He is currently the President-Elect of the IEEE Magnetics Society and an editor of Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials as well as Science and Technology of Advanced Materials, and an editorial board member of Journal of Physics D, Spin, Frontiers in Physics, SciNotes and Magnetochemistry.
