Adam Chase, sometimes known as the "Shoemelier" or "Imelda of Trail Running," has tested more than 1,000 pairs of running shoes, mostly in Boulder, Colorado, where he was raised and, when not running, practices law. He is the President of the American Trail Running Association, Colorado Running Hall of Fame inductee, and father of two sons. Adam has run more than 150 marathons and ultras (winning more than 20) and also competed internationally as a sponsored athlete in adventure and multisport races.
He is the co-author of "The Ultimate Guide to Trial Running," and four trail running guides (with Nancy Hobbs) and has served as a writer and/or editor for Running Times, Triathlete, Competitor, Men's Journal, Trail Runner, UltraRunning , Elevation Outdoors, Running Times, and many other sports publications.
