Mao's America: A Survivor's Warning
An inspiring survivor of Mao's Cultural Revolution in China makes a passionate case that history is eerily repeating itself as the Woke Revolution spreads across America. Xi Van Fleet lived through the horrors of the Chinese Cultural Revolution as a schoolgirl. Forced to the countryside with other young Chinese for re-education after high school, she later escaped communism and found freedom and new a life in America. But more than 30 years later, Xi disturbingly sees signs of the same Cultural Marxism that ravaged her birth country of China threatening to destroy the America she now calls home. This is her dire warning to the United States. Xi compellingly tells the story of two Cultural Revolutions: one driven by Mao and the Chinese Communist Party during her childhood and the one unfolding in today's America from the progressive left. With captivating personal stories and extensive historic research, Xi reveals the stunning similarities of these two revolutions. This fascinating book shows readers that both revolutions: - Use Marxist tactics of division, indoctrination, deception, coercion, cancelation, subversion and violence. - Aim to destroy the foundation of the traditional culture to replace it with Marxist ideologies. - Weaponize youth, using them as their means to an end. - Share the same goal of achieving absolute power at the expense of the people. - Lead to the same ending: loss of freedom and totalitarian rule. Readers will be captivated by the riveting personal story of a Chinese immigrant to the United States who overcame fear and reluctance to get involved in the movement to save America. Her political activism begins with a school board speech in 2021 against Critical Race Theory in Loudoun County, Virginia that unexpectedly goes viral and ignites national media attention. Xi now devotes her life to educating the American public on the shocking parallels between these two revolutions. Because only when Americans understand what is really happening will they rise up and resist the communist takeover of America.

The British Constitution: A Very Short Introduction, Second Edition
The British constitution is regarded as unique among the constitutions of the world. What are the main characteristics of Britain's peculiar constitutional arrangements? How has the British constitution altered in response to the changing nature of its state-from England, to Britain, to the United Kingdom? What impact has the UK's developing relations with the European Union caused? These are some of the questions that Martin Loughlin addresses in this Very Short Introduction. As a constitution, it is one that has grown organically in response to changes in the economic, political, and social environment, and which is not contained in a single authoritative text. By considering the nature and authority of the current British constitution, and placing it in the context of others, Loughlin considers how the traditional idea of a constitution came to be retained, what problems have been generated as a result of adapting a traditional approach in a modern political world, looking at what the future prospects for the British constitution are. In this new edition of the Very Short Introduction, Loughlin includes a discussion of the impact of developments over the decade since its first publication, examining Brexit, the Scottish independence referendum of 2014, and the settlement in Northern Ireland.

First Strike: TWA Flight 800 and the Attack on America
September 11, 2001, did not represent the first aerial assault against the American mainland. The first came on July 17,1996, with the downing of TWA Flight 800. This book looks in detail at what people saw and heard on this fateful night. First Strike explains how a determined corps of ordinary citizens worked to reveal the compromise and corruption that tainted the federal investigation. With an impressive array of facts, Jack Cashill and James Sanders show the relationship between events in July 1996 and September 2001 and proclaim how and why the American government has attempted to cover up the truth.

The Great American Socialist: Eugene Debs: 1890-1916
Six months ago, I had never heard the name Eugene Debs. Today, I believe he is one of the greatest orators in history, ranking alongside Napoleon, Robespierre, Lincoln, and Cicero. More importantly, he was a genuine hero, a man to believe in and follow into the fires of hell. His legacy has been unrightly ignored by the same powers that imprisoned and harassed him over his life. He should be an icon, but is unremembered, for reasons he himself goes into. However, there is one key difference between Debs and these other orators: every one of the others fought for empire, or glory, or democracy – but Debs fought for the working man’s right to a decent existence. A railroad man from 15, he founded then turned against the unions as they became tools of the owners, and won 3% of the presidential vote in 1920 despite being a) the Socialist candidate and b) in prison for sedition. The two major speeches missing from this volume can be found in the prior collection, being “You Railroad Men”, whose content is covered in other speeches herein, and “Statement to the Court”, which is summarised in part 4 of Scott Nearing’s analysis.

Two prominent Israeli liberals argue that for the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians to end with peace, Palestinians must come to terms with the fact that there will be no 'right of return.' In 1948, seven hundred thousand Palestinians were forced out of their homes by the first Arab-Israeli War. More than seventy years later, most of their houses are long gone, but millions of their descendants are still registered as refugees, with many living in refugee camps. This group?unlike countless others that were displaced in the aftermath of World War II and other conflicts?has remained unsettled, demanding to settle in the state of Israel. Their belief in a 'right of return' is one of the largest obstacles to successful diplomacy and lasting peace in the region. In The War of Return, Adi Schwartz and Einat Wilf?both liberal Israelis supportive of a two-state solution?reveal the origins of the idea of a right of return, and explain how UNRWA - the very agency charged with finding a solution for the refugees - gave in to Palestinian, Arab and international political pressure to create a permanent “refugee” problem. They argue that this Palestinian demand for a “right of return” has no legal or moral basis and make an impassioned plea for the US, the UN, and the EU to recognize this fact, for the good of Israelis and Palestinians alike. A runaway bestseller in Israel, the first English translation of The War of Return is certain to spark lively debate throughout America and abroad.

This book is about the fallacy of freedom. An astute analysis and critical critique of the popular faith called freedom is offered in the hopes of reducing bias, prejudices and fanaticism regarding the theory/concept of the pro-freedom philosophy. There are many dangerous societal flaws with the idea and spread of freedom which are often disguised despite their dangers to traditional religions as well as communal and individual religiosity.

Jahrhundert.

The Tragedy of White Injustice
Marcus Garvey's The Tragedy of White Injustice is a powerful indictment of white racism and colonialism. Garvey argues that the white race has a long history of oppressing and exploiting non-white people all over the world, and that white racism is not simply a matter of individual prejudice, but rather a deeply ingrained system of oppression that is maintained by white institutions and social structures. Garvey also discusses the impact of white racism on Black people, arguing that it has caused them to suffer physical, psychological, and spiritual damage, and has prevented them from reaching their full potential. Garvey's book is a call to action for Black people to unite and resist oppression, and to build their own institutions and economies so that they can achieve self-determination.

Ancient Greece, widely recognized as the birthplace of western civilization thrived from 800 BCE to 146 BCE. It is renowned for its contributions, to domains, including literature, philosophy, politics, arts and sciences. These contributions have had an impact on societies. The civilization was characterized by a multitude of city states with Athens and Sparta being particularly notable. Athens, considered the cradle of democracy prioritized philosophy, education and cultural pursuits. It gave rise to thinkers like Socrates, Plato and Aristotle. In contrast Sparta embraced a society that emphasized training and excellence. The Ancient Greeks practiced a religion with a connection to their daily lives. One of their religious and sporting events was the Olympic Games held every four years in honor of Zeus. Greek literature holds status due to works like Homers poems The Iliad and The Odyssey. Playwrights such, as Sophocles, Euripides and Aristophanes created enduring tragedies and comedies that delved into the complexities of existence. In the realm of science and mathematics the Greeks achieved significant breakthroughs. Prominent individuals such, as Pythagoras, Euclid and Archimedes played roles in advancing the fields of geometry and calculus. Meanwhile philosophers, like Thales and Democritus laid the foundations for reasoning. Turning to politics Ancient Greece primarily relied on city states, each governed by its system. Athens implemented a form of democracy where citizens actively participated in decision making processes while Sparta had an disciplined structure. Ancient Greece's influence can still be seen in various aspects of modern society, including government, philosophy, language, art, and sports. Its legacy continues to resonate in the Western world, making it one of the most impactful civilizations in history.

Underground Empire: How America Weaponized the World Economy
Brought to you by Penguin. An explosive new vision of geopolitics from two trailblazing political scientists Deep beneath our feet, vast and sprawling, lies one of the most sophisticated empires the world has ever known. At first glance, it might not look like much - it is made up of fibre optic cables and obscure payment systems. But according to prominent political scientists Henry Farrell and Abraham Newman, this network is the key source of American power on the global stage, more significant than its military might. Since the end of the Cold War, the United States has built a new empire underground, through telecommunications and financial networks that the entire world relies upon, which has allowed it to eavesdrop on other countries and isolate its enemies. And now, efforts by countries such as China and Russia to untether themselves from this coercive US-led system are turning the global economy into a battle zone. A gripping and revelatory account of contemporary geopolitics, Underground Empire weaves together tales of economic conflict, shadowy surveillance technologies and covert infrastructure projects to explain how the world order has been brought to the brink of chaos - and how we might find a way back from the edge. ©2023 Abraham Newman (P)2023 Penguin Audio
