Vrnda Devi The Beautiful Yoga Of Devotion: The Mother Goddess
'Dear Tulsī, you are much beloved by Lord Kṛṣṇa because your leaves are always at His lotus feet. Dear mālatī flower, dear mallikā flower, dear jasmine flower, all of you must have been touched by Kṛṣṇa while He was passing this way after giving us transcendental enjoyment. Have you seen Mādhava passing this way? O mango trees, O trees of jackfruit, O pear trees and āsana trees! O blackberries and bael trees and trees of the kadamba flower—you are all very pious trees to be living on the bank of the Yamunā. Kṛṣṇa must have passed through this way. Will you kindly let us know which way He has gone?' The Srimad Bhagavatam Tulsi Devi (Vrinda - Holy Basil) is a sacred plant in Hindu belief. She is regarded as an earthly manifestation of the goddess Srimati Tulsi Devi, and is as an avatar of Lakshmi, and thus the consort of Vishnu. The offering of her leaves is mandatory in the worship of Bhagavan Sri Krishna. Tulsi is regarded as the holiest of all plants and a bridge between heaven and earth. A traditional prayer teaches the creator Brahma and the Ganges resides in her branches, all holy pilgrimage centers in her roots, all deities are in her stem and leaves, and the Vedas are found in the upper part of her branches. The Tulsi herb is a center of household devotion, and is often referred to as the 'women's deity' and 'a symbol of wifehood and motherhood.' Vaishnavites consider it as the manifestation of god in the plant kingdom. Tulsi Devi is one of Krishna’s most intimate servants coming to bless us all with extraordinary fortune. She has delicate purple and green leaves, flower tassels (like miniature temple spires), and an arresting, sweet fragrance famous for attracting the minds of yogis to Krishna’s service via Bhakti Yoga. Tulasi’s wood is carved into the Japa beads on which devotees chant Krishna’s holy name.

Neem Karoli Baba's Beautiful Gang Of Four
Neem Karoli Baba, known to his followers as Maharaj-ji, was a mystic saint and devotee of Hanuman. Maharaj-ji’s teachings were simple and universal. He often said, “Sub Ek” — All is One. He taught us to “love everyone, serve everyone, remember God, and tell the truth.” Strongly connected to Hanuman, God in the form of a monkey, Maharaj-ji taught in a highly personalized, non-traditional way that reflected the deep devotion of the bhakti path of the heart. Known as the “Miracle Baba” throughout north India, he manifested many siddhis (powers), such as being in two places at once or putting devotees in samadhi (elevated state of God consciousness) at the touch of a finger. Here is the essence of his remarkable life and teachings. He is known outside India for being the spiritual master of a number of Americans who traveled to India in the '60s and '70s, including Ram Dass and Bhagavan Das, as well as musician Krishna Das. For many years Baba was closely associated with silent sadhu Baba Hari Dass. Dr. Richard Alpert, a former Harvard professor was an icon of the hippie, LSD-fueled revolution of the '60s. After that, on a trip to India - like Clark Kent changing into Superman - he became the much-beloved spiritual teacher Baba Ram Das. His '70s iconic book, Be Here Now, turned on a generation to the deep, nonsectarian spirituality within us all. Krishna Das is an American vocalist known for performing Vedic devotional music known as kirtan. Bhagavan Das is an American yogi who lived for six years in India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. He is a bhakti yogi, kirtan singer, spiritual teacher, and writer. Baba Hari Dass was initiated in the Vairagi Vaishnava order in 1942. Dass has practiced continual silence since 1952. This is the true story of each of the spiritual 'Gang of four' and their master and deep inspiration Neem Karol Baba.

The Essentials Of Spirituality
This recording contains four addresses of Felix Adler (1851-1933) concerning spirituality from the perspective of Ethical Culture, an educational and religious movement founded and first led by Adler, based on the belief that living in accordance with ethical principles is central to a meaningful and fulfilling life. – Lee Smalley “Spirituality is morality carried out to the finish….The ultimate end (of spirituality) itself is to elicit worth in others, and, by so doing, in one's self. The indispensable condition of this attitude is to ascribe worth to every human being before even we observe it, to cast as it were a mantle of glory over him, to take toward every fellow human being the expectant attitude, to seek the worth in him until we find it. Felix Adler was a German American professor of political and social ethics, rationalist, influential lecturer on euthanasia, religious leader, and social reformer.

The Bhagavad Gita is set in a narrative framework of a dialogue between Pandava prince Arjuna and his guide and charioteer Krishna. At the start of the Dharma Yudha (righteous war) between Pandavas and Kauravas, Arjuna is filled with great moral dilemma and despair about the violence and death the war will cause in the battle against his own kin. He wonders if he should renounce and seeks Krishna's counsel, whose answers and discourse constitute the Bhagavad Gita. Krishna counsels Arjuna to 'fulfill his Kshatriya (warrior) duty to uphold the Dharma' through 'selfless action' .The Krishna–Arjuna dialogues cover a broad range of spiritual topics, touching upon ethical dilemmas and philosophical issues that go far beyond the war Arjuna faces. Numerous commentaries have been written on the Bhagavad Gita with widely differing views on the essentials. According to some, Bhagavad Gita is written by Lord Ganesha which was told to him by Vyasa. Vedanta commentators read varying relations between Self and Brahman in the text: Advaita Vedanta sees the non-dualism of Atman (soul) and Brahman (universal soul) as its essence, Whereas Bhedabheda and Vishishtadvaita see Atman and Brahman as both different and non-different, while Dvaita Vedanta sees dualism of Atman (soul) and Brahman as its essence. The setting of the Gita in a great battlefield. The Bhagavad Gita presents a synthesis of Hindu ideas about dharma, theistic bhakti, and the yogic ideals of moksha. The text covers jnana, bhakti, karma, and Raja Yoga. The Bhagavad Gita is the best known and most famous of Hindu texts, with a unique pan-Hindu influence. The Gita's call for selfless action inspired many leaders of the Indian independence movement including Mahatma Gandhi; the latter whom referred to it as his 'spiritual dictionary'.
