"Curtain Time" was a dramatic anthology series that gave listening audiences the experience of attending a live theatrical performance. Each week the series' genial host would arrive at the theater to attend the opening night performance of a first-run play - generally a romantic comedy - and be greeted by an usher who would escort him to his seat. Once comfortable, the host would chat briefly about the performers, set the scene, and then sit back to enjoy the play. At the conclusion of the show, the lead performers would be called to the microphone for a brief after-show chat and the program would close with a final word about Mars, Snickers, or Milky Way candy bars on behalf of the sponsor.
