The Sovereignty of God, Modernized Edition
The Sovereignty of God by Arthur W. Pink is a classic theological work that explores many aspects of God’s glorious sovereignty. Pink used the Bible to answer all kinds of questions: Is God really in control of all things? Does man have free will? What about predestination and reprobation? First published in 1918, this edition has been modernized to present all the great truths of the original in a more accessible format for our day and time. All Bible quotations have been updated to the NKJV unless otherwise noted. Quotations from other authors or church confessions were kept original. There are minor changes to Pink’s sometimes-awkward writing style, as well as changes like: “Holy Writ” to “Holy Scripture,” “Jehovah” to “Yahweh,” and “ere” to “before.” Where appropriate, some of the very long sentences were broken up into shorter sentences. We hope this edition will make this great book useful for many future decades, and that God’s kingdom will be extended and strengthened, all for the honor and glory of our Savior, Christ Jesus. Chapters are listed below. It is read from the original as much as possible, with only minor changes to make it understandable to a listener.

The Ten Commandments by Arthur W. Pink is a short introduction to God’s Moral Law. Pink shows that the Moral Law is still binding on all men today, that humanity will be judged for its violation, and that it is the rule of life and means of sanctification for the Christian. At one time, this was the prevailing understanding in Christianity. God gave the commandments for His own glory and also for the good of man. Each commandment has both a positive and negative force. If something is forbidden, the opposite virtue is enjoined. The chapter on the Fifth Commandment has a helpful section directed to parents and children. This little book is particularly relevant to the current struggles of our modern Godless and antinomian era, and it is vital that we return to these truths. This audiobook is read from the original as much as possible, with only minor changes to make it understandable to a listener.

Jonathan Edwards, often referred to as America’s greatest theologian, lived from 1703-1758, and was used by God in the American Great Awakening. This sermon warmly encourages every person to make the same kind of effort that Ruth made in leaving her people and country to join herself to God and his people in Israel. Edwards used a variety of things to stimulate the unbeliever toward faith and repentance, such as: the goodness of God, the happiness of his people, the misery of turning back as Orpah did, and the earnest desire of God’s people for every hearer to be saved. By these things, the hearer is strongly urged to match Ruth’s resolve: to be steadfast and determined until he also is joined to God and his people. This audiobook is read from Edwards’ original text with only a few minor changes to make it more understandable to the listener.

The Justice of God in the Damnation of Sinners
Jonathan Edwards, often referred to as America’s greatest theologian, lived from 1703-1758, and was used by God in the American Great Awakening. This sermon is taken from Romans 3:19, “That every mouth may be stopped.” Edwards carefully and methodically showed that God is perfectly just to punish sinners. He began with God’s infinite majesty, then showed man’s infinite guilt, made many applications, answered objections, and ended with words of encouragement to both the guilty sinner and the forgiven saint. This audiobook is read from Edwards’ original text with only a few minor changes to make it more understandable to the listener.

Jonathan Edwards, often referred to as America’s greatest theologian, lived from 1703-1758. He was wonderfully used by God in the American Great Awakening. This sermon is taken from Revelation 5:5-6, which pictures Jesus Christ as both a Lion and a Lamb. Using this dual imagery of the Lion and the Lamb, Edwards magnified Christ in his majestic person as both God and man. Things that could never be said of mere men can be said of Christ. Only Christ is infinitely high, yet able to stoop to the lowest of men. Only Christ is infinitely just, yet at the same time, infinitely gracious. Only Christ could show an exceeding spirit of obedience, while at the same time having supreme dominion over heaven and earth. For the Christian, this sermon is pure exaltation, pure enjoyment, and pure worship. After looking at the numerous “diverse excellencies” of Christ, Edwards ended with the gloriously blessed hope of the believer, to be together with the Triune God…forever. This audiobook is read from Edwards’ original text with only a few minor changes to make it more understandable to the listener.

Pressing Into The Kingdom of God
Jonathan Edwards lived from 1703-1758, and was used by God in the American Great Awakening. He is often referred to as America’s greatest theologian. This sermon was preached to encourage every person to make every effort to get into the kingdom of God—that none should be left out. This audiobook is read from Edwards’ original text with only a few minor changes to make it more understandable to the listener. Edwards opened the sermon by defining “pressing into” the kingdom, explaining why every one should earnestly seek it. He reminded the hearers that, by nature, all are in a perishing necessity of salvation, utterly lost when outside the kingdom. But then encouraged them in every possible way, addressing objections as he urged all to “violently” and with unfailing tenacity press into the kingdom. He directed them to look beyond and through all the difficulties, and warmly pointed them to the glorious possibility of actually entering and enjoying the great excellencies of the kingdom.

Jonathan Edwards is often referred to as America’s greatest theologian. He lived from 1703-1758, and was used by God in the American Great Awakening. Justification by Faith Alone was a printed discourse based on the sermons he had preached on Justification during the 1730’s that led to a great revival among the people in his area. This audiobook is read from Edwards’ original text with only a few minor changes to make it more understandable to the listener. His main argument was: “That we are justified only by faith in Christ, and not by any manner of virtue or goodness of our own,” and he divided his discourse into five main parts. “In handling this doctrine, I would, I. Explain the meaning of it, and show how I would be understood by such an assertion. II. Proceed to the consideration of the evidence of the truth of it. III. Show how evangelical obedience is concerned in this affair. IV. Answer objections. V. Consider the importance of the doctrine.”

Why are we humans the way we are? Why does humanity still suffer from the perennial problems that have plagued us for thousands of years? Things like hatred and anger toward others, dissatisfaction with life, or disordered desires after any number of things? Or things like pain and sorrow, sadness and suffering? Why does life always end in death? While most of us barely begin to even consider the “why” questions, Arthur W. Pink plainly declared the unpopular truth about the root cause of all human maladies. In his incisive way, Pink explained that the reason for the human condition is a spiritual one. Man is a rebel against his Maker ever since the rebellion of our first parents in the garden of Eden. Pink considered the following main points about human depravity: its Origin, Imputation, Consequences, Transmission, Nature, Impact, Enormity, Extent, Ramifications, Evidences, Corollaries, and its Remedy. In this book, there are unique insights into depravity not commonly found in the more modern writings on the topic, as well as very precious truths about the finished work of Jesus in saving sinners. We are not left in despair, for the solution to our depravity is in the glorious gospel of our Savior.
