But instead of severing their connection, the murder intensifies it and Matt begins to suffer the agony of Jake’s afterlife. Hell bent on solving Jake’s murder in order to break the connection, Matt travels to his troubled hometown of Hatchett, Nebraska, where an old lover and savage new enemies expose the festering wounds that Jake left behind. The Law Says What? offers a crash course on some of the most bizarre, infuriating, and vitally important legal topics of today. Using real-world cases as a guide, you’ll explore laws that affect your everyday life and analyze the rationales behind the ones that might make your head spin. Your mind will be blown, and you’ll even find yourself laughing as you learn about the weird quirks of criminal law, civil law, contract law, property law, tort law, international law, and courtroom procedure. You’ll discover things like: Why the police don’t actually have a legal duty to protect you How marijuana is both legal and illegal at the same time When you can be charged for murder without actually killing anyone What someone has to do to legally steal your property And much more! The Courage Map: 13 Principles for Living Boldly
Why do some people have the courage to make brave decisions that steer them to lead exciting, rewarding, and impactful lives - while others only sit on the sidelines, watching enviously? Entrepreneur and adventurer Franziska Iseli believes that anyone can learn to access their inner courage. Iseli came up with the idea of writing a book about courage while on a multi-year motorbike journey around the world. All of that “helmet time”, allowed her to ponder what so many people ask her, whether in relation to her businesses or to her crazy international adventures: Where do you find the courage to do what you do? In this, her third book, Iseli shares what she has learned. The book is cleverly designed as a metaphor for the author’s round-the-world motorbike journey. Iseli starts with a comprehensive introduction which both presents why she has come to think of courage as perhaps the defining attribute that has led to her exceptional life, as well as how she developed such courage even at a very young age (hint - it was her brother’s fault). She also develops an in-depth analysis of courage: What it is and why it is necessary for living a life that matters and, importantly, distinguishing true courage from other seemingly equivalent characteristics such as fearlessness and recklessness. From here, the book presents 12 principles, each peppered with sometimes-funny, sometimes-scary (and often both) anecdotes from her motorbike adventures - while presenting actionable exercises to help her listener choose the life they want to live and the person they want to be. “Think of life like a road trip with loved ones. Your vision is your ultimate destination, the place you are travelling towards. Your values are the compass showing you which turns to take at a crossroad. Your intentions are your mode of travelling and determine whether you hop, skip, run climb, ride, drive, skate, or swim along the journey. And your actions are the path you choose”. Franziska Iseli is not afraid to be quirky - even cheeky at times - as she guides you how to courageously deal with everything that life may throw at you: From navigating past “poop showers” to making brave decisions without becoming fearful about the outcome. Her fresh prose is not only a delight to listen, but it is full of both insight and inspiration. This is not your normal personal development audiobook. This is real, raw, honest and practical story-telling from someone who is walking the talk.

The Guilty Die Twice: A Legal Thriller
Two attorney brothers. Two bullet-riddled corpses. Two sides to the story. Ten years ago, a capital murder case in the heart of Texas split the Lynch family in two. Now, estranged lawyer brothers Travis and Jake Lynch find themselves on opposing sides of the courtroom in a high-profile, grisly double-murder case - with another accused criminal’s life on the line. Conscience-stricken Travis left his high-powered law firm to become a public defender, while bullish Jake rose to become district attorney. The case pits brother against brother in a contest of wits, wills, and legal savvy that will shake the justice system to its core. Both Lynches are convinced they’re in the right, but the truth turns out to be more complicated - and deadly - than either could have possibly imagined. A drug deal double-cross turns lethal, leaving two corpses and one victim paralyzed for life. The victim never saw the gunman, but he knows one name: Sam Park. Travis defended Sam’s brother years before, and his heart won’t let him turn down the case, even knowing it’ll bring him face-to-face with Jake after 10 years of cold silence. Jake, meanwhile, runs afoul of the Austin political machine and needs a high-profile conviction to win a tough upcoming election. And Sam, the star witness and prime suspect, won’t talk - not to Travis, and certainly not to the high-and-mighty DA - and time is running out. Can these feuding brothers put aside a decade of enmity in the name of true justice? Or will the truth of what really happened that bloody night go to the grave with Sam Park?
